| The Guesthouse |
|
Renesse is originally a ring village from the early 1200s.
The Guesthouse "de Herberg Anno 1785 " was first built as a Gentleman’s farm (where the “opkamer” still originates that we use as breakfast room). For a long time it was one of the few buildings on the Korte Reke, though this refers to two hundred years ago. The guesthouse is situated opposite the Jacobs church which was built in 1458. |

The building was soon used as a doctor’s practice and retained this purpose until around the time of the flood crisis in 1953 when 11 families were housed here. The then owner found this a lucrative pursuit and the guesthouse was begun. It is also situated on the pilgrimage route to Santiago and on the E9 ( Walking route) which stretches from Portugal to the Baltic states. |
Your stay is based on bed and breakfast. Behind the guesthouse we offer parking for your bicycle or motorcycle.
The guesthouse is entirely smoke free.
The guesthouse is 200 metres from the transferium where you can park your car in a well lit area free of charge. Free buses depart from here to all parts of the island.
